Have you ever gotten stuck?? Fallen asleep?? Broke something??

Only once did something weird happen to me, It was years ago. I was in a standup taning. All the sudden I head someone banging on the standup door. I freaked out like the place was onfire or something, I get dressed and jump out. UGHH it was a guy I knew screwing with me!!!!! I couldda killed him everyone laughed!!!!!

the only thing i have: one time i fell asleep in the bed, and the lights shut off, and i tried to sit up, and smacked my head on the acrylic on the top, and i did this like 2 times before i realized that i was in a tanning bed... lol

Ohhh Nice one LOL. I hate falling asleep and getting startled awake from the lighs shutting of. It scares the crap outta me LOL

Well it's not my story but I thought it was funny.

One of the truck drivers that delivers to my work is an avid tanner. He has long hair to his waist and for some reason he forgot to put it up climbed in the stand up and it started to get sucked up into the fan. He was able to manage his mane and get it into a pony tail and when he left he told the girls at the counter that they almost had to rescue him. The girls said sorry mister you would have waited until a man came in. Evidentally the teenage girls didn't want to see him in all his glory.

I can't imagine a stand up fan being that powerful, but I live in the boonies.

The stand up I use has a super strong fan. It even has a warning on it to tie your hair up before going in it.

I'm with you!!!

I got my hair caught up in the fan!! That's when I decided it was time to CUT it!! Also I can say it's not really a HORROR story it JUST HURT!! I started tanning again last Thursday my FIRST day back since before I had my son!! Well Thursday I went 12min, Friday I went 14min, Sat I went 16min and then I went in on Monday and I asked her since Sat I got a little pink if she thought I should go 16 again or just up it to 17 or 18 and she said I tell you what I'll put you in for 17min well I put my lotion on got in the bed and KNOCKED OUT!!! well I woke up b/c my stomach was TINGLING bad!! NOT from a tingling lotion either!! it was TINGLING from being BURNT!! I looked at the time on my cell phone and I realized I had been in the bed for 20 min!!!!! so i walked out and I said "NAME HERE" "did you put me in for 17min and she said "OMG AMBER" "I think I put you in for 20"!!! I was so mad!!!! >:(

I ended up going home and putting ALOE all over my stomach and between my boobs b/c it was TINGLING SO BAD!! Needless to say Monday I didn't go to sleep until Tuesday morning at 2am and that was AFTER I took 2tbls of NYQUIL to KNOCK me out!! It hurt so bad!! I didn't tan Tuesday or Wednesday and then I went on Thursday and made sure she set my time for the RIGHT AMOUNT OF TIME!!!

Ouch! That's terrible!

If someone in here pinks a little, we drop their time or suggest they skip a day. Never move them up a minute or so!

I had a lady come in and pink at 4 minutes - the only bummer was she called the next day and insisted I stuck her in for 10! As if! She's a regular now - and is up to 10 minutes after we convinced her the reasons for tanning slowly!!!
